Suite Onboarding

TL;DR

When a new deal is signed with one of Sony Label’s customer, the first step is to onboard said customer to our Suite of apps so they can benefit from all of our services. Setting up a new customer with access to Suite requires admins to give the right permissions according to the services we contractually provide to this customer. Once the customer accepts the invite and activates their account, they might have to provide banking & tax information to allow payment, and they have to be introduced to our apps to understand how to use them and how to get value out of them.

My role as the lead designer for the Platform team has been to help define our success metrics for this project, identify the biggest pain points in our existing onboarding flow by looking at data points and talking to users, and working within the constraints and requirements of the technical implementation of our permissions system.
